The School

Peer Rope Melbourne is dedicated to providing high-quality education and fostering a safe, inclusive environment for the kink and queer communities. Our mission is to create a welcoming space where everyone can explore, learn, and grow.

We offer a variety of classes and workshops covering topics such as Shibari, D/s dynamics, health and safety, and alternative relationship structures. Our approach is hands-on and interactive, offering real-world experiences through art shows, intimate gatherings, live performances, play sessions, and social events. Our team is passionate and knowledgeable, committed to delivering engaging and informative events that cater to the diverse needs of our community.

We strive to be a space where learning and discovery are encouraged, and everyone is treated with respect and fairness.

Code of Conduct

We deliver high quality education and we are rigorously ethical in our conduct. We believe our educators should be held to a professional standard where students are not a source of prey. Protocols have been adopted to ensure educators do not take advantage of their position as a perceived leader in the world of rope. We have adopted and follow the Kink Education Code of Conduct (KECC) .

Philosophy and Values

Kindness and Respect: We believe in treating everyone with kindness and respect. We encourage curiosity and understanding, without making assumptions about others. Our space is where all forms of prejudice are actively interrupted, fostering self-awareness and mutual respect.

Inclusivity and Safety: We are committed to maintaining a space free from racism, homophobia, sexism, transphobia, breaches of consent, body shaming, ableism, and classism. We aim to prevent and address any form of misconduct, ensuring a safe environment for all.

Consent: Consent is a cornerstone of our philosophy. It is an ongoing, active process that requires clear communication and informed decision-making. We expect all participants to practice consent not only with each other but also with our facilitators and space holders.

Respect for the Space: We value our physical space and the community it supports. Treating our venue with care and respect is essential, whether it involves cleaning up after yourself or respecting the rules and guidelines in place.

Community and Collaboration: Peer Rope Melbourne is a community-driven space. We believe in collaboration and care, creating an environment where everyone can contribute to a positive and nurturing experience. Our non-competitive atmosphere encourages kindness, appreciation, and collective growth.

By adhering to these values, we aim to build a supportive and inclusive community where everyone feels valued and empowered.
